Overview

Policy commitments to promote DEI and gender equality in the workplace, assessment of barriers to diversity, action plans to address barriers, and grievance mechanisms inclusive and culturally appropriate for all worker populations.


Requirements

The Facility shall:

  • 9.13.1 Establish a documented policy that includes the following commitments:
    • 9.13.1.1 Promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the workplace; and
    • 9.13.1.2 Promotion of gender equality and establishment of gender protections that respect all internationally recognized human rights.
  • 9.14 Assess the needs of the Facility's workers and identify barriers to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • 9.15 Implement an action plan to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion aimed at addressing potential identified barriers to work based on background, gender, and worker abilities.
  • 9.16 Establish or provide access to grievance mechanisms, in alignment with Section 6.7, that are inclusive and culturally appropriate for the Facility's populations of workers.
  • 9.17 Investigate all grievances concerning nonconformance to DEI policy commitments and provide access to remedy in alignment with Section 6.7.
